Luis Cobos presents the AIE Music Excellence Prize at the Graduation Ceremony of the Liverpool Institute, founded by Paul McCartney.
The Society of Artists AIE awarded for the first time the AIE Music Excellence Prize at LIPA, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, founded by Sir Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty in Liverpool, Paul McCartney’s hometown. This prize is given to a graduating student who stands out for their exceptional talent and commitment to music. This significant recognition was presented by Luis Cobos, president of AIE, during the 2024 LIPA Graduation Ceremony.

Spanish Music Has No Ceiling
La música en español desbanca a la anglosajona en España: el 65% de las escuchas en plataformas ya son en nuestro idioma, y las colaboraciones entre artistas latinos y españoles copan ya un 15% de la cuota de mercado, según un estudio de AIE.
Según recoge el “AIEstudio 2023 sociolaboral sobre los músicos en España”, con datos procedentes de un universo de 22.000 socios de AIE
The salary of 75% of musical artists is below €30,000, and the income of 57% does not reach the minimum wage (SMI).
The gender pay gap is evident: women's average annual income is 13.4% lower than men's. Additionally, short-term contracts for performance days predominate (77%).
