BECASAIE Grant Program 2025/2026

AIE allocates 10% of its budget to activities supporting and promoting musicians. Within this scope, education is a fundamental pillar, and the organization is proud to offer, once again, the BECASAIE Program for studies at distinguished music schools or to enhance musicians’ training in Spain or abroad.

The BecaAIE scholarships are intended for students in Intermediate or Advanced Level music studies, depending on the scholarship, or for active music professionals. These scholarships will apply to the 2025/2026 academic year, except for summer courses, which correspond to the year 2025.

The BECAAIE 2025/2026 application period opens on February 12 and closes on March 31, 2025, at 18:00.

How to apply for a grant

Before submitting your application

Any person who meets the following requirements may apply for a BecaAIE:

  1. Be an active student or professional in music, regardless of the instrument(s) being studied, including voice, or the musical subject matter, including new technologies.
  2. Be a Spanish national, from a European Union country, or a Latin American country with a residence permit in Spain.
  3. Applicants for the BecaAIE in Advanced Specialization must submit, along with their application and resume, a copy of their most recent tax declaration, or if unavailable, that of their parents or guardians.

The BecaAIE 2025/2026 call is open from February 12 at 12:00 to March 31, 2025, at 18:00.

Submitting your application

It is very important to always read the 2025/2026 General terms and conditions of the call before submitting any application.

Selection process

After receiving your application, and if all required documentation is correct, this will be taken into account for the study and selection of grant holders.

Later, a list with the names of the selected grant holders will be published in our web. If any document is missing, or if any mistake is detected, AIE will contact all applicants concerned.

The selection process is carried out by a committee of renowned music professionals appointed by AIE who will consider all merits, academic and artistic, of each applicant. For the BECASAIE Specialization Grants selection process, the committee will Schedule an audition and/or a personal interview for those candidates who obtain the highest score in the qualification records.

Notification and result

Starting from July 11, 2025, AIE will inform applicants about the granting or denial of the scholarship, except for the six BECASAIE scholarships intended for the Manuel de Falla International Courses, whose decision will be communicated starting May 19.

After these dates, the final list of scholarship recipients will be published.

List of grants offered by AIE

115 grants for musical training or extension of music studies, distributed as follows:

Grants for music studies or training in official and informal music schools, both within Spain and abroad.

– 22 BECASAIE with a grant of €1,000 for the five following music schools:

– 44 BECASAIE with a grant of €1,000 for the nine following REEM schools (Spanish Network of Music Schools):

Thanks to these agreements, all these schools contribute to the funding of these 44 AIE Scholarships, covering 30% of the total amount of each grant. If the total scholarship amount does not fully cover the tuition fee, the recipient must pay the remaining balance. 44 BECASAIE GRANTS FOR MUSICAL TRAINING OR EXTENSION OF MUSICAL STUDIES in informal music schools, both within Spain and abroad, to be chosen freely.

5 BECASAIE GRANTS FOR MUSICAL TRAINING OR EXTENSION OF MUSIC STUDIES for AIE members over the age of 35 in informal music schools, both within Spain and abroad, to be chosen freely.

29 BECASAIE Specialization Grants, distributed as follows:

Grants amounting up to €6000 each

Grants for Superior Degree studies or higher degree musical training in prestigious music centres, both national and international. The maximum amount for each of these grants will be €6000, with the possibility of receiving additional support from the designated school.

These grants are distributed as follows:

  • 3 BECASAIE Grants of €,6,000 for music studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States. This college contributes another 6000€ per grant holder.
  • 5 BECASAIE Grants of €6,000 for music studies in informal music schools (both within Spain and abroad).
  • 4 BECASAIE Grants of €6,000 for Superior Degree studies at Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid.
  • 1 BECASAIE Grant of €6,000 for music studies at Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona. Aimed at Regulated Superior Degree Studies.
  • 1 BECASAIE Grant of €6,000 for music studies at Taller de Musics in Barcelona, aimed at Regulated Superior Degree studies.
  • 1 BECASAIE Grant of €6,000 for music studies at Escuela Superior de Música de Alto Rendimiento (ESMAR) L’Eliana in Valencia. 
  • 1 BECASAIE Grant of €6,000 for music studies at Centro Superior Música Creativa in Madrid, aimed at Superior Music Studies.
  • 1 BECASAIE Grant of €6,000 for music studies at Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, aimed at Symphonic, Instrumental and Vocal conduction. 
  • 2 BECASAIE Grant of €3,000 for music studies at Jam Session Escuela de Música in Barcelona, aimed at Superior Rock Music Studies.
  • 2 BECASAIE Grants of €3,000 each for music studies at Musikene San Sebastián, aimed at Superior Music Studies in the fields of Classical Interpretation and Jazz.
  • 3 BECASAIE Grants of €2,000 each for music studies at Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), for students of the Master of Advanced Interpretation Studies (MEAI) for classical and contemporary music instruments.
  • 2 BECASAIE Grants of €5,000 each for AIE Master’s in Music Group Management (orchestras, bands, choirs, groups, etc.)
  • 1 ‘Tete Montoliu Jazz Grant’ of €3,000 for jazz music studies in informal music schools.
  • 2 BECASAIE Grants of €10,000 for music studies at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts – LIPA, United Kingdom. These grants are aimed at students of Superior Music Studies who have already passed with success the official entrance exams of this institute in accordance with its schedule. 6 AIE Grants of €300 for the Manuel de Falla Courses, organized by the Granada International Festival of Music and Dance, for active students:
  • Course ¡Tech Beat! Overview of Musical Creation in the Digital Age
  • Pedagogy Course: Early Music Education – Expressive Communication and Creativity
  • Baroque Academy of the Granada Festival
  • Piano Masterclasses

AIE will grant these BECASAIE scholarships to students who are not residents of Granada, selected by a special committee created specifically for this category. The scholarship award will be communicated to applicants starting May 19, 2025. The scholarship will cover tuition and accommodation expenses up to a maximum of €300.

Please note that the Courses’ organization does not provide accommodation in Granada. Students must arrange their own lodging, covering the cost with the €300 grant. AIE will process the payment directly to the recipients of the BECASAIE scholarships.

To be eligible for the BECASAIE scholarships for the Cursos Manuel de Falla, students must be selected as active participants by the respective faculty, in accordance with the course conditions.
