ABOUT THE PROGRAM

What is it?
Urbanaie is an AIE circuit created to promote the work of urban music artists and similar genres, as the concept of urban music is quite broad, encompassing various styles and modalities.

Artists, managers, and record labels from this genre have shown great interest in supporting and participating in Urbanaie, a circuit created by AIE to foster interest in these and many other artists who are shaping trends and new branches of different musical styles.

With the creation of this circuit, AIE demonstrates its commitment to artists from all trends, tastes, and performance modalities, as well as to live music.

How does it work?
AIE establishes agreements with universities and venues across Spain, many of which have already confirmed their willingness to host these “sessions” in which, on the same day, different artists and groups perform in rotation. Each concert lasts approximately 45 minutes.

When does it take place?
The Committee makes a selection once a year. The next Urbanaie selection committee meeting will be held in early 2025 (date to be confirmed). Proposals for the next call will be accepted until February 1, 2025.

Who selects the artists?

The selection of artists participating in Urbanaie will be carried out by a committee of renowned experts in the field of urban music from all over Spain.

Carriying out the selection process

A committee of experts will meet and, after deliberation, select the candidates from among all the groups and solo artists who have submitted an application.

If you are selected, the program will contact you to request additional documentation and a suitable audio/video sample.

When does the selection take place?

The Committee conducts a selection once a year. The next Urbanaie selection committee meeting will be held in early 2025 (date to be confirmed). Proposals for the upcoming call will be accepted until February 1, 2025.
